Fanfare for a New Era was written to celebrate the appointment of Lt. Col. Lowell E. Graham as Commander of the U.S. Air Force Band. Its composer, Jack Stamp, sought to highlight the talents of "this fine ensemble" in which he "heard something energetic and vibrant." Stamp is Professor, Conductor of Bands, and Director of Band Studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. --James Huff 23:37, March 25, 2007 (EDT) (from the program notes of The Claremont Winds, submitted with permission)
