Serenade for Winds

Elena Roussanova Lucas composed this serenade while flying back to the U.S. from a family visit in Russia. It was written originally for strings and she was later asked to provide an arrangement for winds. She has degrees in piano from the Ippolitov-Ivanov Academy of Music (Moscow) and in composition from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Moscow) and currently teaches theory and composition at Boston University and the Berklee College of Music. She is also a composer for the Warner Brothers and Alfred Music publishing companies. --James Huff 13:38, May 29, 2007 (EDT) (from the program notes of The Claremont Winds, submitted with permission)
